GPT Image 2.5 Flare & Sunburst
- GPT Image 2.5 Flare (IMAGE_GEN_GPT_IMAGE_2_5_FLARE) is now the default OpenAI model for new image generation requiring crisp typography, packaging, UI mockups, and structured layouts up to 2048ร2048.
- GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst (IMAGE_GEN_GPT_IMAGE_2_5_SUNBURST) powers precision "change this, leave the rest" edits and the Quality (GPT 2.5) tier in the image editor.
- When GPT 2.5 is selected in the editor, enabling "Use surrounding context" sends a native rectangular mask over a padded crop so only the selected patch is updated.
FLUX 3 Image & Nano Banana 2.1 Upgraded in Place
- IMAGE_GEN_FLUX_PRO now routes to Black Forest Labs FLUX 3 Image (blackforestlabs/flux-3/text-to-image and /edit-image) with 14 native aspect ratios and support for up to 10 reference images.
- IMAGE_GEN_NANO_BANANA now routes to Google Gemini Nano Banana 2.1 (gemini-nano-banana-2.1) for stronger subject identity preservation and conversational editing.
- Existing URLs, API payloads, CLI scripts, and credit weights (4 credits for standard, 1 credit for Cheap Mode) work without any code changes.
Lossless WebP Publishing & On-the-Fly .webp URLs
- The Studio and Embeddable Editor now default to lossless WebP output on Save & Publish (with PNG and JPG still available).
- Append .webp before the query string on any completed PNG or JPG URL (for example /acme/hero.png.webp) to serve a converted WebP asset without re-generating or spending credits.
